In current debates, there's a lot of talk about climate-friendly, sustainable construction. This is something that has been practised in Asia for many years – on the one hand, out of the necessity to offer as many people as possible a liveable home in a dense city environment, but also because it has been politically desired and regulated by law. For 28 years, Singapore-based WOHA has focused on designing integrated architectural and urban planning solutions to address 21st century issues such as climate change, population growth and rapidly increasing urbanisation.
Today in our podcast, we talk with Schirin Taraz-Breinholt from WOHA about what this involves in detail and where a simple rethink can have a big effect.
