KDMEO Episode 39 - Fight My Way (쌈 마이웨이) 2 - a podcast by Judy, Linda and Teresa

This week, Judy and Linda are absolutely delighted by episode 2 of "Fight My Way" (쌈 마이웨이), starring Park SeoJoon, Kim JiWon, Ahn JaeHong and Song HaYoon.

Judy and Linda talk about the portrayal of violence in pop culture, and why the confrontation between Aera (Kim JiWon) and the asshats is more disturbing than the fights in action films. Linda finds the characters and their struggles more relatable than in other dramas. Judy is a strong believer in sarcastic "aegyo".

Some Korean terms:

재수없는 애: [je-soo-up-neun-ae] literally "person who is unlucky (for other people"; more accurately "annoying person".

체념: [che-nyum] resignation.

창: [chang] Korean term for "song" borrowed from Chinese; Judy refers to traditional Korean singing as "창", but the correct term is "판소리" [pan-so-ri].

흑기사: [heuk-ghi-sa] "black knight"; guy who drinks the alcohol for a girl in a drinking game.
