Let's be honest. There were some nonsensical bits in this finale week. In spite of this, Judy and Teresa were pleasantly satisfied with episodes 15-16 of “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” (김비서가 왜 그럴까), a TVN drama starring Park MinYoung and Park SeoJoon.

What is this salty discharge? Judy was openly crying at multiple scenes this week, while Teresa was comparatively unaffected. We were annoyed that Miso (Park MinYoung) seems uninterested in her own damn wedding and even more that the writers didn't spend enough exploring the reasons why. How did the writers wrangle us into rooting for Newbie Secretary (Pyo YeJin) and One Suit Man (Chansung)?

If you like the song that Youngjoon (Park SeoJoon) sings for his proposal, it's a really lovely song from 1987 by Yoo JaeHa called "You in my bosom" (유재하 - 그대 내 품에). Click here to listen to it.

Next week is our 100th episode and second anniversary! We went on a double date with Robert and David to the Korean Harvest Festival for some delicious food (check out our Instagram for pics). We also recorded a special episode about the 2017 Korean film, "Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds".

Digressions:

6:04 - Teresa cried at an episode of "Buffy"

37:00 - Teresa's harebrained scheme to train raccoons

Some Korean terms:

시월드: [shi-wol-deu] a wife's new living conditions of being put upon by your in-laws; a play on "Seaworld".

품절남/품절녀: [poom-jeol-nam/poom-jeol-nyeo] "Sold out man" or "sold out woman" to indicate people who are now in a relationship and therefore "off the market".

반품남/반품녀: [ban-poom-nam/ban-poom-nyeo] "Returned man" or "returned woman" to indicate people whose relationships have ended.

청심환: [cheong-shim-hwan] traditional herbal medicine that's used as an anxiolytic.
