It’s Advent — a season of waiting and preparing before celebrating Christmas. During this time, we focus our hearts and minds on Christ. At the risk of sounding cliche, we stop and remember the reason for the season.

Which is easier said than done. The world around us is moving faster and faster, barreling towards Christmas morning. Whether we are waiting in line for a Black Friday sale or rushing into the mall for a last-minute stocking stuffer, it's a hectic month that can often leave us tired, stressed, and distracted.

It's easy to forget what this season is really about.

That's why we are are going to spend the month exploring the names of Jesus in scripture. Each day, there will be a new name and scripture reading. These will help keep us focused on what really matters — the birth of our Savior.
