In this scheme people are required to build toilets for them and in turn they will get incentives from the central government.

Mr Ashwin Kumar has worked extensively on creating awareness and providing technical support to the Pudukkottai district administration to make the district open defecation free. He has explained the need for constructing a septic tank following the rules given by the central government. He also delineates the harmful effects of manual scavenging.
