I took a trip to the state of Campeche in order to explore the ancient Maya city Calakmul. It was once on of the most powerful city in the classical Maya period. It is now hidden in the jungle of the national park the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve. A great experience I only can encourage everyone to do.
