Touch Base In Seoul: In August, it was announced that the Korean-born Canadian conductor Earl Lee had been appointed Assistant Conductor of the prestigious Boston Symphony Orchestra, one of the so-called ‘Big Five’ orchestras in the US. Originally a promising young cellist before a medical condition led him to conducting, he has risen the ranks quickly, receiving awards as one of the most exciting young conductors in Canada. He joins us on the line to tell us about his story and his future hopes.
