News Briefing: The government said that COVID-19 infections in South Korea seems to be on a downward trend, after the daily case count dipped below 4,000 for the first time in 4 weeks. (Eunice KIM)



In-Depth News Analysis: On Monday, South Korea approved an emergency authorization of Pfizer's oral treatment for COVID-19, called Paxlovid. It is the first treatment for the virus that will be available in pill form, and such a method of medication is being considered a game-changer in how the world fights back against pandemic. To find out more about the drug and its potential impact, Dr. Kim Seung-taek (???), the head of the Zoonotic Virus Lab at Institut Pasteur Korea joins us on the line.
