This new West Hollywood location is a significant departure from the previous two locations. In order to keep a deep focus on the food, owner, Ivan Vasquez has been making bi-monthly (pre-pandemic) trips to his home state of Oaxaca. Vasquez is continuing to purchase mezcal from small mezcaleros who are at risk of losing everything in this pandemic. As well, he sources all his products directly from Oaxaca, meeting his distributor weekly, now that he’s allowed to bring Ivan’s specific goods and foods directly to LA. During the pandemic Ivan had been meeting him in Tijuana to ensure his cuisine remained authentically Oaxacan.
