At the risk of alienating some of the listeners I felt I had to do a show to raise awareness of the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Being of Asian descent and arriving in the UK from Africa in the mid 60's, as a child I went through youth being subjected to racial discrimination, fearing for my safety on a daily basis on my journey to and from school. I will never know what it is like to be a black person living in the USA but I have empathy with their situation. The show contains many tunes and poems by Gil Scott Heron, an artist who raised awareness of the problems in USA with his music and is considered by many to be the first rapper/MC ever. I hope you enjoy the show.
