On today's show, a Filipino family in Happy Valley-Goose Bay shares how they're coping with the loss of a loved one from Covid-19, yet how lucky they feel to live in Labrador where the pandemic hasn’t struck as hard. Gasoline and heating fuel are essential components of life on the coast. But what happens when there is no one to operate the as station? We speak with NCC President Todd Russell on help being offered to Black Tickle, and MP Yvonne Jones on what's the latest with the situation in Rigolet. The NLTA says teachers shouldn't have to use sick leave when they miss work due to COVID-19 public health guidelines. We hear from a teacher who found herself in that situation. Nathaniel Pollock did research on suicide prevention in Labrador. Recently, he received two awards for that research. We'll find out what it means to be recognised in this way.
