Triking to the South Pole with Maria Leijerstam - a podcast by Gary Solomon

from 2019-11-28T09:00

:: ::

In 2013 Maria Leijerstam rode her "Polar Cycle", an ICE Trikes custom built recumbent  fat trike, from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole in 10 days. Two Guinness world records and a fabulous book detailing her account followed. On this webcast we'll ask her about her amazing feat and the  trike that made it all possible. Chris Parker from ICE Trikes comes on to fill in his part of the story. Also, Steve Wood from San Antonio Bike Tours joins us to talk about personally leading tours of the city he loves while riding a velomobile and Peter Stull gives us an update on the latest from his Recumbent Museum collection.
