Description: Stories are our primary way of meaning-making: they help us establish group identity, teach us valuable lessons, and affect the way we perceive the world. One translation of the scriptures professes that Jesus "was never without a story when he spoke." When we listen to the stories of Jesus, we are challenged to see the world through God's eyes, where our expectations are overturned, and we are provoked to join in God's vision for our world.
