Series Description: Nice: Why We Love to be Liked and How God Calls Us to More

Niceness keeps the peace, wins friends, gains influence, and serves our reputations well, but it also takes the teeth out of our witness and the power out of our faith. Based on the book by Pastor Sharon Hodde Miller, this series explores the seemingly innocent idol that has crept into our faith and quietly corrupted it.

Sermon Description: Processed: The Fruit of Sentimentality Matthew 21:1-11

Remembering the good ol’ days or happy memories can fill us with positive emotions, and that can be a good thing on occasion. But nostalgia and sentimentality often misrepresent reality, serving up only good feelings. When we try to practice a “nice” Christianity that is constantly providing emotional hits, we too misrepresent reality.
