The Ohio State Buckeyes absolutely destroyed the Akron Zips 59-7 in Kyle McCord’s debut as the quarterback for Ohio State and that leads the show.
Jordan Williams and Christopher Renne provide an instant recap show to break down the reasons why Ohio State won and what to expect for the Buckeyes moving forward.
They get into a discussion about K’Vaughan Pope’s sideline outburst and try to contextualize that moment. Jordan and Chris discuss why fans should not go too hard on him in spite of everything that occurred.
The offensive side of the ball played a complete game from start to finish on the back of Henderson, McCord, and the receivers. McCord set a true freshman record, but is that enough for him to challenge Stroud’s starter status.
Defensively, they played with effort and executed extremely well after the firsts series, we discuss what changed. Then we get into some of the players who shined and if this will translate for the Buckeyes moving forward.
Lastly, we get into our final thoughts from the game and give our final takeaways. It was only Akron, but the Buckeyes played awesome.
The next game for Ohio State will be October 2nd against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Ohio State will look to show that this game was not a fluke against an upset minded Rutgers team.
