Last season was a rebuilding season that was going surprisingly well, but which fell apart at the end of the year with a loss in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament and another loss in the WNIT Tournament opener.
Ohio State has a lot to look forward to this year, with a young and highly-touted incoming freshman class, and a core group of veterans to guide the team along the way. The Buckeyes open up regular season play Sunday when they take on Valparaiso in Springfield.
