On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Kelsey Trainor talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
On this week’s edition of Play Like a Girl, Kelsey and Meredith talk more about the Olympic rosters announced this week, including women’s hoops and soccer. There are a lot of familiar names on both squads — including now five-time Olympians Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi on the basketball side of things, plus, a pair of sisters playing on the biggest stage for USA Soccer.
It’s not all good news, though. The pair also talk a recent announcement from the New York Mets that the club will be updating its anti-harassment policies...you remember, because of that time the former GM sent a lewd, unsolicited photo to a reporter.
But, Kelsey and Meredith wrapped things up with great news to end Pride Month, with the Raiders’ Carl Nassib coming out this week as the first openly gay active player in the NFL. If his jersey sales are any indication, it turns out that inclusion really does matter.
