Much like her sister church at Pergamum, the church at Thyatira lacked discernment, had a love affair with the world, tolerated sin and became “The Immoral Church.” Because the Lord wrote more to this carnal church than the others we’d do well to learn its important lesson—sin and false doctrine are not to be tolerated in the church—even under the popular banners of love, unity and acceptance.
