PANDAS/PANS Awareness Day is October 9, 2021 in many jurisdictions. To learn more about PANDAS/PANS, this week we speak with Gabriella True, President of US-based ASPIRE (Alliance to Solve PANS & Immune-Related Encephalopathies).

Gabriella has been a leader in the PANS and autism communities since 2008. She has also worked with the Connecticut PANS PANDAS Partnership, New England PANS/PANDAS Association and sat on the PANDAS/PANS Advisory Council to the Department of Health for Connecticut. In addition to her work in the PANS community, Gabriella is also The Autism Community in Action (TACA) Connecticut Chapter Coordinator and has volunteered for them for ten years. Gabriella is a parent to two children with PANS, one who also has autism.

We talk about everything PANDAS/PANS including what Aspire will be undertaking in the future, some of the current issues families are facing and where to find support.
