Atty. Sheri Hoidra received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law (UB Law) in 2012, and her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and is federally licensed by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.


She currently serves as the Co Editor-in-Chief of the Trial Reporter, the premier journal of the Maryland Association for Justice, Inc. (MAJ) and is on MAJ’s Board of Governors. She is an active member of the Immigration Council of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), and has recently been nominated to serve on MSBA’s Board of Governors as well. Sheri reviews ethical standards for attorneys practicing in Maryland on the Peer Review Committee. She is also a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation.


Prior to forming her law practice, Sheri interned for the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Baltimore, MD, writing motions and appeals, and successfully arguing cases before Immigration Judges. She also worked for the Immigrant Rights Clinic at UB Law and as a law clerk for the Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore County.


Her areas of practice include: Family Law, Criminal Law cases originating in MD District Courts, DUI/DWI defense, auto accident litigation, and will preparation. She practices immigration law at a national level, which is her lifelong passion. As an Iranian-American immigrant whose parents escaped the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution and sought asylum in the United States, Sheri is familiar with the difficulties involved in obtaining status in this country and truly sympathizes with her clients.
