The topic for the Gospel Meeting is "Building Balanced Believers". For this year's Gospel Meeting we have the special guest speaker, Melvin L. Otey. Melvin has served as an Associate Professor of Law at Faulkner University, Jones School of Law, since August 2014. He writes for Christian publications; conducts Gospel meetings, lectures, and seminars; and serves as a board member of Lads 2 Leaders. He and his wife, Jania, have two sons, Caleb and Christian. They worship with the Perry Hill Road congregation in Montgomery, AL.  

"A Balanced View of Politics" 

Tonight, Melvin discusses how as Christians we are aligned with Christ. Worldly things such as nationality, citizenship, race, or political party are all less important than our pursuit in being a disciple of Christ. We are citizens of Heaven first, Philippians 3.
