FOUR TYPES OF
PSYCHOLOGICAL ANXIETY
Social Anxiety Disorder:
Excessive fear of social situation that would expose one to scrutiny. Symptoms usually last six months or more.
The fear is out of proportion to the actual threat posed by the social situation.
- Panic Disorder:
An abrupt surge of intense fear or discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes.
- Heart pounding, sweating, shaking, shortness of breath, choking, chest pains, nausea, dizzy, chills or heat, numbness or tinging, derealization, fear of losing control or dying.
