Questions for Revelation 15-16

Summary of last class:

This week we will finish chapter 14 at the beginning of class. In Revelation 14 John sees the triumphant multitude praising God for the victory they enjoyed (Rev. 14:1-5). Three angels possessed a message of defeat coming on God’s enemies (Rev. 14:6-11). Those who died due to their faithfulness to Christ were rewarded, remembered, and resting in Jesus’ presence (Rev. 14:12-13). The chapter ends by speaking of the harvest coming on the world when God will redeem the righteous but destroy the wicked as they are trodden outside the city in the great winepress of God’s wrath (Rev. 14:19-20). Chapter 15 reveals the song that was/is sung by the triumphant people of God as God had avenged them. Chapter 16 describes 7 bowls of wrath that were poured out on the Romans (also described as Babylon; see Rev. 16:19).
