"The Fulness of Him Who Fills All In All" by Mike Greene

Theme: The Church

Aim: To show the church is an integral part of God's eternal plan.

1. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

2. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he commissioned the apostles: Mark 16:15-16, Matthew 28:19-20.

  • There was the divine expectation that men would _________ to the _______
    • _______ ________  responded to Peter's message on the day of Pentecost - Acts 2:41.

    • Paul had a lot of say about the ______ in _______.
      • Ephesians ________

      • Ephesians ________

      • Ephesians ________

      • Ephesians ________

  • In addition, to this we learn:

      • Ephesians ________

      • Matthew ________

      • Ephesians ________

      • 1 Corinthians ________

      • Ephesians _______

      • Matthew _______

    • But despite all of that, there are those who say the church is not important.

  • Let's go back to Ephesians __________.
    • Generally when we look at this passage, we see two things.
      • Jesus is the ______ of the church.

      • The church is his ___________.

    • Paul makes a profound statement about the church. The church is the ______ of him who fills all in all.

    • Paul is telling us that Jesus' _________, His _______, was not complete, was not full, until the church came into existence. That my friends is a profound thought.

  • Indeed, the church is an _______ part of God's eternal purpose. His plan to save man, to facilitate man's relationship to God and others of the saved community.

  • Remember those baptized on Pentecost were added to that saved body.

  • Have you been added to that body?
