LTP#104 KATIE SCHIDE - ENGLISH VERSION - a podcast by Lets Trail Podcast

In this Episode my guest is an elite ultra running athlete who lives in south of France in the Alp mountains near from Nice.

She comes from the north-east of the United states in Maine and after a long period of time, while she evolved in the white mountain national forest practicing hiking and other outdoor activities, she started running in a competitive way helped by his partner, coach and athlete elite Germain Grangier who has been on the podcast at episode 47.

Katie is an impressive athlete with a long list of victory on many type and distance races like, Trail du Ventoux, UTCAM, Ubaye Trail Salomon, Maxi Race ou Pierre Menta été.

She had some awesome results like a second place on 2018 CCC, a second place on the 2019 MIUT, a sixth place at 2019 UTMB, or a 8TH place on the last UTMB 2021. 

We will talk with Katie about her Childhood in Maine, Her experience of a summer Job at the Appalachian Mountain club in the White mountains Forest which had changed her life.

We will discuss about her vision of trail running community today, her attachment at the preservation of nature , her goals for the next years on the competitive side.

Finally we'll talk about the event "One and One Run to Camp" who is a concept of stage race imagined by Her and Germain.
