This week I speak to Mandisa Thomas, founder and President of Black Nonbelievers. Based in Atlanta, Mandisa works to create communities that welcome nonbelievers from the black community—a demographic dominated by Christianity. We talk about race, religion, and the way the black atheist experience often differs from that of the majority white population.

Mandisa also shares why Black Nonbelievers was founded, what they've accomplished in the past 5 years and how she's seen the secular landscape change in that amount of time.
