I’m joined today by the Director of the Orange County PFLAG Speakers Bureau, Angie Kiel Hendrix – friend and fellow speaker. Angie found support, understanding, and an extended family when she discovered PFLAG and then took this to the next level by becoming a leader to ensure that LGBTQ voices get heard on over 200 panels a year at high schools, colleges, churches, businesses, and law enforcement agencies throughout Southern California. This is her story, her life, and her light shining brightly on the world.

Angie Hendrix serves as the Director of the Orange County/Long Beach PFLAG Speakers Bureau, where she has volunteered her time as a leader and speaker for over 20 years.  With a Bachelors Degree in Education, Angie’s teaching background and public speaking experience serve her audiences well as she relays her personal story, which includes coming out in college, marrying her wife Jo (4 times), and raising their 3 year old daughter Justice.  A former physical education & health teacher, Angie now works for a financial services software company, Primatics, as a West Coast Account Manager & has been in client management & sales for 18 years. Angie’s unique combination of talents allows her to assist clients at a personal and professional level. Driven by authenticity, honesty, & a desire to help others, Angie is a natural connector and community leader. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and the diversity of Southern CA, & maintains a love of athletics & competition.
