As 45 turns the tables on my transgender brother and sisters this week by declaring them unfit to serve in the military, I felt even more compelled to support Savage and his ITMFA campaign. Serendipitously, I also interviewed a friend of mine, Mike Ganino, for an upcoming episode of The Coming Out Lounge, where we discussed the scenes we play in life and how we are what we communicate. The scenes 45 is playing and what he is communicating, in my opinion, is nothing but a spoiled little boy who needs adulation to feel validated.
I invite you as you listen to this Uncloseted Riff and Rant to think deeply about the scenes you wish to play in life and how you are communicating that out to the world. Do not let anyone, not even 45, keep you from playing your scene in the world or communicating boldy who you are meant to be.
