Welcome to the LifeChanger podcast! A couple of days ago I got back to Austin after traveling and decided to go to the gym after not going for about two and a half weeks. I only had 45 minutes and what goes through my mind is, what am I going to cut out of this workout? I knew I couldn’t get through everything my coach had given me. I still have a fitness trainer because I want someone else to be responsible for keeping me on track with my goals. When I do have coaching, I move forward powerfully and consistently. I went right into my workout and did not do any intense stretches. Because I had not given the full attention to my warm up and my cool down —because I rushed those parts and to get to the meat of the workout — the thing I thought was going to move me forward in my health and fitness, I ended up going backwards.    Today, I’m having trouble standing and sitting down; I can’t walk very fast and I can barely bend down. Why did this happen? What’s the bigger principle here? The bigger principle here is that when you try and rush through the fundamentals or skip the fundamentals, within movement, within business, within sales —within anything — then you end up having backlash; you end up having challenges later on. If you show up haphazardly, you will get less results, and you will go backwards! What if a year from now you’re still doing the same thing you’re doing now? How are you going to feel emotionally if you don’t change?
