The film was directed by the playwright himself, Florian Zeller, and written for the screen by Zeller and Christopher Hampton (who also translated the play into English). It stars Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman.

The conversation ranges from the play's unique structure, the adaptation's few differences from the play, the incredible performances, and whether or not Anthony Hopkins is the greatest of all time.
