Tina shares some great strategies backed up by metrics that she has learned about current social media trends and optimal times for posting. Different social media platforms have different times of engagement. If you are only posting once per week, then the best time to post is Wednesday for all social networks, on average. It seems like an odd time, but the metrics back it up.
Finding the optimal time to post for your business is something that is important to do. If your audience tends to stay up later at night or prefer to consume your content later at night, then tailoring your marketing plan to post at those later times will help to attract more students.
Instructional content is most commonly prefered to be consumed in the mornings. Running promotions about your course at those earlier times for your prospective audience is a great marketing strategy. The evening time is better for content geared towards entertainment, as most people are exhausted and want to relax.
Many online courses and communities harness the power of Facebook groups and pages. Setting up a Facebook page rather than just posting on your Facebook wall is important for building brand awareness. Facebook groups are useful for cultivating a community around your business. As an online course creator, it may be useful to set up a group around your course rather than, or in addition to, a page. Groups are great for receiving feedback, which is crucial for keeping your course alive in the long run.
