We opened up the Locked on Bears mailbag for a question on Twitter from one of the loyal listeners of the podcast.
Tom Pappalardo asked about whether or not James Daniels' athletic tools would allow him to compete with Charles Leno Jr. at left tackle. If Daniels couldn't hold up on the outside, he could just slide back in to left guard, Pappalardo said.
Host Lorin Cox answers the question and dives into the nuance of offensive line play, analyzing the different types of athleticism required to play tackle versus guard and whether Daniels fits the mold.
