Everyone calmed back down from the Blue Jay debuts last night? Ryan Andrews hasn't and they are ready to dish!
Andrews examines Sean Reid-Foley's first MLB start and notes some concerns in his approach, but praises the way he was able to escape a bases-loaded jam with minimal damage. The Nova Scotian also gushes over Danny Jansen's night at the plate, both offensively and defensively and is totally not hyperbolic about what Jansen means going forward.
In a detour, Andrews derides another poor base running decision by the Blue Jays, as Russell Martin is taken out by a mile at home plate in the second inning. With Luis Rivera repeatedly sending runners home to their demise, and the number of failed hit-and-runs piling up, Andrews tries to reason with the Blue Jays line of thinking, and comes to the conclusion that there will be multiple members of the coaching staff heading out the door in the fall.
In the second half, Andrews highlights the recent performance of Luis Santos and argues whether or not the Dominican has earned a spot in the 2019 bullpen with his run of form since the beginning of July.
