There were a lot well deserving players that won an NHL award. However, I was able to find certain narratives that fit in nicely with the New Jersey Devils organization. For example, Connor McDavid had a stellar season in terms of points. However, our best points getter was well off the mark compared to many other teams. Also, with Marc-Andre Fluery winning the Vezina Trophy at 36 years of age, this proves my point even more in terms of old guys doing well at the goalie position. Those are just a couple of examples because I have do have more narratives for the Calder and Norris Trophy as well. Also, I wish people recognized Yegor Sharangovich and Ty Smith's impact and potential better.
