The top two teams in Scott Cullen's preseason countdown, both the Twins and the Astros have power-packed lineups that will do a lot of damage and should make them World Series contenders this season.
Minnesota added Josh Donaldson to bolster their everyday lineup and overhauled their starting pitching rotation, bringing in Kenta Maeda, Rich Hill, and Homer Bailey. They hope it will take them from a 101-win team to a World Series champion.Houston has already established its place as a World Series contender, winning in 2017 and losing in seven games in 2019. As a result, they have a lineup of familiar stars - Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman, George Springer, Justin Verlander - and a lineup full of stars certainly has the capability to win it all again.
