The Jets were officially eliminated from postseason contention on Sunday, but there are still two games left in the 2017 season. The team had a surprisingly busy Monday just a day after the elimination.
The Jets made a roster move, waiving wide receiver Jeremy Kerley. Kerley's second stint in green and white lasted less than a year and included only 22 receptions. After missing four games with a suspension, the Jets decided they did not need him against the Saints as they chose to keep the receiver inactive. Now they have decided they do not need him going forward.Todd Bowles also made a pair of announcements leading to questions about the availability of two big name defensive linemen for the rest of the season. Leonard Williams is in the concussion protocol. Meanwhile, Muhammad Wilkerson was back in the team facility on Monday, but Bowles would not commit to a return to the lineup this weekend.
