Yesterday was a victory Monday for the Jets. They are coming off a 38-31 win over the Kansas City Chiefs to get their season back on track. The Jets had lost five of six heading into that game. While New York's record is only 5-7, that is still good enough to be in the Playoff hunt in the AFC.
Todd Bowles spoke to the media on Monday. Like past Jets head coaches Herman Edwards and Rex Ryan, a Bowles press conference is usually not appointment watching. They are usually uneventful with little useful information provided. I am not knocking Bowles when I say that. Plenty of successful coaches in this league have boring press conferences. This one was a little different, though. Bowles actually shared some interesting information about the game on Sunday and some of his decisions. If you listened closely enough, you could learn some things about why things happened and what things mean going forward. That is the topic of today's podcast.
