At this point the NFL continues to plan to start the legal tampering period and the official beginning of the new league year on time. The legal tampering period is scheduled to being at noon Eastern today while the start of the league year is scheduled for Wednesday.Over the weekend the NFL Players Association voted to accept a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. This agreement sets the rules of the league through the year 2030. There will be no strike or lockout.
The new CBA has a number of major changes for the NFL. We will discuss those changes on today's podcast. The number of regular season games each year is increasing. The number of Playoff teams is as well. So are the size of each roster, practice squad, and active players on game day. The number of preseason games is going down.
