The Lakers haven't hit the iceberg yet, but are definitely running out of time to steer around it, and it's fair to wonder how big their rudder is. Sunday, they lost for the sixth time in seven games, this time to the Toronto Raptors at Staples Center. And with games this week against Denver, the Clippers, Portland and Phoenix, things don't get any easier.

Especially given that LeBron James left the game after feeling pain in his bum ankle, and Dennis Schröder missed the game entirely after entering the league's health and safety protocols. So given the losing and the constant upheaval in the lineup, it's easy to see why Kyle Kuzma called them "disconnected" after the game. Those comments, and some others, are a big focus of today's show....

HOSTS: Andy and Brian KamenetzkySEGMENT 1: Reaction to Sunday's 121-114 loss to the Raptors. What's going wrong? What has happened to the defense, and how quickly can it get fixed? What about LeBron's ankle? Are the Lakers going to get any kind of flow before the playoffs start? And where do they finish in the West, anyway?

SEGMENT 2: Kuz called them "disconnected." Is he right? And if so, why? What can be done to reconnect them?SEGMENT 3: Kuz also made a very unusual suggestion in his postgame press conference... namely putting Marc Gasol back in the rotation. First of all, is he right? Is Gasol the solution, given that he only plays 15-20 minutes a night, anyway? And if he's given minutes, who loses them?Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
