*** Howdy y’all! “Episode 25 – Story Time with Uncle Doug” is now online! ***

NOTE: We’re venturing out of our comfort zone in the first episode of 2021. In an effort to provide some differing content so that we don’t keep saying the same thing over and over and over and allowing y'all to get tired of us, we are bringing something completely different in this episode; more of a tie-in to Appalachian culture than we usually do – and something that I have wanted to do since we started this thing. Also, we have FIVE (!!!) live people in studio this time; it may not be the BEST audio we have ever captured, but it's..... well... an episode!

In this episode, come sit a spell on the virtual front porch as we have “Story Time with Uncle Doug”. Douglas Adams, age 87, is the oldest living in-classroom educator in the state of Kentucky. Have spent over 20 years as an art professor at Morehead State University and then moving onto teaching at the high school level, “Uncle Doug” will discuss a little history of this area (including Eastern Kentucky giants), a little reflection on the varying aspects of art inspirations, his transition from historical landscapes to metal sculpting, and the parallels between the art and minitruck communities.

For the first 45 minutes, we pick the brain of Mr. Adams. If you’re just looking for stories of nudity, road trips and drinking… well, that’s all included in this interview segment too! We ain't NPR after-all!

In true traditional #LCDPodcast fashion, the second half of the episode starts off with fat stripers and generic work boots, and doesn’t let up until Harlan Farva stops begging Jeremy to bag his new truck.

Join us for an adventure unlike any LCD episode yet – and if this isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry – we are recording again this weekend with a more *normal* episode!

Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!
