S7 E8: Barkey and Giles focus, what we’ve learned so far, transfer round-up and formation change needed? - a podcast by ltst

Kev and James return for the first of our monthly podcasts. Yes, in this inaugural Premier League season, we now release pre and post-match episodes every week but, as the longest-running Luton Town podcast, we have always delivered a bumper episode and we're not going to stop now. 

So, we hope you're enjoying our new content, including our video podcasts which you can find on YouTube, but as we're in the boring international break, the boys got together to offer our usual focus on two Hatters.

In this episode, we look at two players that are already dividing opinions on social media after their summer switches. They are club record signing Ryan Giles and England international Ross Barkley. 

And with the transfer window shutting and those two additions just two of 12 new recruits, the boys discuss the deadline day signings of Teden Mengi from Manchester United and Albert Sambi Lakonga on loan from Arsenal. 

The move for the latter could hint at a change in the way Luton play and with one listener question asking us about a formation change, the boys drill down into what we can expect to see in the not too distant future. 

Having seen Premier League rivals up close, Kev and James also discuss what we've learned so far in the top-flight, plus the departure of fan favourite midfielder Glen Rea while also giving a shout-out to the Bury Park community for their patience as the Hatters spent 13 weeks over the summer upgrading their Kenilworth Road stadium to make it Premier League ready.
