ARE YOU A THINKER OR A FEELER?

I mean, do you draw your conclusions about the world, its future, and the future of humanity based on what you see around you and feel about it, or on larger data?

For example, did you know that the world today is greener than it’s ever been?

That it's also more peaceful than it’s ever been before and that the number of children starving to death - still too high - has decreased over 99% over the past 50 years?

If you find yourself having a pessimistic view of the future, you are likely to be like 60% of the population, a feeler, someone who relies on emotions rather than reason, and  you may underestimate the power of innovation, the greatest resource of all.

Let me share with you a piece of information I am sure will make you think….

The physicist John Ziman has estimated that for every scientific document or scientist that existed in 1670, there were 100 in 1770, 10 000 in 1870, and 1 million in 1970. Mind blowing! Isn’t it?

At the end of his study, Ziman concluded that the global scientific activity doubles every 15 years. In a century this means growing by a factor of 100 (Ziman's Law).

To put it into perspective, a person born in 1980 and dying in 2080 will personally witness a 100-fold increase in scientific activity, and all the innovation that goes with it.

That’s quite exciting if you think about it.

In this episode of the podcast, you will learn many of the 50 supertrends that, according to investor, researcher, and author of many books, including the best-seller  “Supertrends, 50 things you need to know about the future”  Lars Tvede will make, and are already making making the world a better place.

AI, Genetic Manipulation, Cultured Meat, Vertical Farming, Quantum computing, Nuclear Fusion, Self driving cars, internet of things, just to mention a few and in no particular order, are some of the topics I am excited to discuss with my distinguished guest.
