The Eagles went all in after winning a flag in 2018, then falling a few games short a year later. The paid a King's ransom for Tim Kelly, but were unfortunately caught out by a slow start in Queensland. They have the pieces to compete again, and have tipped their hand further in by signing extensions for veterans and delisting rookies. The cliff is coming, and 2020 will reveal if they are at their peak or already falling.
