Something significant happened this offseason that may not have immediately felt that way, and that's the creation of the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP). If you've played for an AFL club in the past, or nominated for the draft in the past and went unselected, you can now choose the club you want to play for (assuming they want you) rather than entering the draft lottery. This rule changes the game for how list managers should view the bottom third of their list, with essentially free access to the next best group of players, some who are just waiting for their chance. In this shorter episode, we take a look at the ways that it'll effect the 2019 offseason, and what your club can do to take full advantage.
