MAD Knb? When was the last time you tried something new? Fear is a typical response when we are in unfamiliar situations. These circumstances usually make us feel anxious and vulnerable.

In this episode of MAD Talks podcast, our hosts Big J and Lord Jay engaged in yet another fun and lively conversation with our guest, Ate Chooky, a MAD Volunteer from Basilan, as she shares her story on how she stepped out of her comfort zone and explored the unknown to gain new experiences.

Ate Chooky’s first MAD Camp was in Zamboanga in 2017. She also joined other camps and conferences as she opened herself to more opportunities. She has also led different community projects and served as the Head of Volunteers for "Kapit-Mindanao", a digital fundraising campaign to assist the Minadanaoan communities in this time of pandemic.

Ate Chooky’s journey created new learnings and gave her life-changing experiences as she braved the unknown. Taking a leap of faith and engaging ourselves in the unfamiliar will broaden and give us a fresh perspective as we discover new things about ourselves and the people around us. Listen to this episode to learn more about how we can focus on progress and have fun in the unfamiliar.
