Marietta native Scott Thompson is embarking on his Christmas Back Home concert series, featuring a mix of traditional and original Christmas songs in rock, reggae, jazz, and country styles. The tour kicks off in Rome on Dec. 8-9, moves to Marietta Performing Arts Center on Dec. 16, and concludes in Cartersville at the Grand Theater on Dec. 22. Inspired by cherished family holiday memories, Thompson, a Sprayberry High School graduate, and accomplished musician, aims to capture the magic of Christmas. With a career spanning over two decades, Thompson's performances reflect his Southern roots and draw from influences like James Brown, Sam Cooke, The Beatles, and Otis Redding.
