Teachers and parents showed up during the Cobb school board's meeting on Thursday to protest, what they say is the district not doing enough to protect employees and students from the coronavirus. Two more Cobb County School District educators have died from COVID-19 complications. Smyrna Fire Department Deputy Chief Brian Marcos has been named the 2020 Chief Fire Officer of the Year by the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs.
