Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain get media attention when they commit suicide but the CDC is reporting a 30% increase in suicides since 1999. What happened around that time? With respect to our schools, the Department Of Education began in 1980 and the U.S at that time was second only to Australia in education, today we're 17th. The eradication of God and values in the classroom was around that same time. In 1999 Columbine shooting took us by surprise, and now we have a generation of people that have grown up with social media. Could it be morality or the lack thereof? Why aren't we looking at addressing the root of this evil? Consistent decline in outcomes in education since 1980. Later, Trump is at the G7 today. He blasted other countries for imposing high tariffs on the US for decades. Finally, after the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas school shooting; bump stocks are gone, their manufacturer is bankrupt, and the State of Florida has introduced new mental health safeguards. And interestingly, gun owners are more law abiding than non-gun owners. Guns don't kill people, gun-bans kill people.
