Summary: One of the best-loved Christmas hymns, "Silent Night, Holy Night", is a reminder of one beautiful way in which we should approach Christ in our lives. In a culture obsessed with noise, relentless chatter and activity, our silence before God is an essential remedy. But "Silence" here is not simply about the absence of sound, it is rather an interior, prayerful, worshipful silence that orients us to really hear what God is saying.
