In this video podcast I have discussed different types of Questions. The questions to begin with are:

1. Introduce yourself to the admission committee.

2. Talk about yourself or walk me through your resume.

3. Can you tell us about your family background?

The next question could be related to your work experience or how well you Know Yourself.

1. Describe your most significant professional accomplishment and the leadership skills that you displayed that had an impact on your organization.
2. Describe the most difficult decision you have made and its personal effect on you.
3. Discuss two examples that demonstrate your potential as a successful leader.
4. Describe an obstacle you have faced in your professional or academic life. How did you overcome this obstacle and how did it foster your development?
5. What do you consider to be your single most important achievement and why?
6. Describe two situations of importance to you.
7. When did you fail to reach your objective?
8. Describe your most important strengths.
9. Do you possess any weakness?
10. Can you talk about a leader that you admire?
Career Goals questions

1. Define your short- and long-term career goals.
2. How will earning the MBA degree help you achieve your goals?
3. Please describe where you see yourself in 5 years and 10 years’ time.
4. Why are you choosing to do an MBA at this time in your career?
5. How does this MBA degree fit into your short- and long-term goals?


Questions on how you fit into the Business school

1. What is it about this MBA Program that is going to help you reach your goals?
2. Describe what there is about your background and your experiences that will contribute to the diversity of the entering class and enhance the educational experience of other students.
3. The School’s culture relies on all members to be active contributors to our community. With your values, experiences, and interests, how will you make a unique contribution to the community?
4. How will you contribute to the overall experience of your peers at the Business School? and identify how you see the MBA program assisting in these goals.
Off-track questions

1. Is there any additional information that is critical for the Admissions Committee to know which has not been covered elsewhere in your application?
2. Tell us something about yourself that we would not find on your résumé.
3. Which recent development, world event or book has most influenced your thinking and why?
4. Have you applied to any other school?
5. Suppose you had to choose three people, people alive now or people from another era-to travel with you on a cross-country automobile trip. Who would you choose and why? What would you hope to learn from them?
6. Give us four bullet points that clearly differentiate you from this applicant pool.
7. How do you imagine your superior would describe your strengths and weaknesses to someone who does not know you?
8. Describe a situation where you successfully worked across cultures and/or nations.
9. Discuss a person, event, or experience that has significantly shaped your life and explain why.
10. Describe a time in which your ethics were challenged. How did you deal with the situation and what did you learn from it?
11. Give 3 reasons as to why you should be selected.
If social media profiles on Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter convey an altogether different story, then it clearly shows you lack in your effort to get an admit from your dream school.
